The Cowboys will be without Sean Lee on Sunday. We all know by now how much that seems to affect the Cowboys defense. It’ll now be up to Leighton Vander Esch to pick up the slack. He’s been very good this season and should be able to handle the responsibilities that Lee had on defense. With that said, no Sean Lee out there will still make life easier for the Eagles offense. There’s also a good chance the Cowboys are without David Irving and Taco Charlton. Neither of which have participated in practice this week.
If I’m the Eagles, the game plan should be very simple. Without Lee, Charlton and Irving, the Cowboys will be depleted up front. The Eagles need to establish the run from the beginning and ram it down their throats. A dominating run game in the beginning will open up passing lanes. And, the Eagles just happen to be unveiling their new shiny toy against the Cowboys. After establishing the run early, they should be able to find Golden Tate down the middle for some big chunk plays.
I expect a little rust in the beginning coming out of the bye week. However, I think the Eagles offense will shake it off quick and have one of their best offensive showings of the season. The Eagles will win this one rather comfortably, 27-14.
